The 9th Bastille Day in Downtown Media is taking place this July.
It is to recognize the French holiday that takes place on July 14, which is mostly known as the start of the French Revolution.
This event is hosted by the Media Business Authority and the Media Arts Council. State Street will be closed off for the evening, and visitors will enjoy art displays, live music, and children's activities.
There will also be wandering poets and theater performances, while a children's art fair will take place between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Painters will be demonstrating their art, and artists and crafters will be selling their handmade items.
There will be live music and entertainment with a French flair throughout the evening. There will be dance lessons for those who need them. Many of the city's restaurants will be setting up tables on the street, to offer open-air dining.
This is a popular event in Media. Organizers may ask local printing companies to provide Banners, Signs, and other printed materials to let people know where the events are taking place, and to recognize any sponsors.
