A historical experience is in the works in Chadds Ford for next month, providing visitors and area residents with an opportunity to learn more about the soldiers of the American Revolution.
The Brandywine Battlefield: Rally the Troops gathering is being organized with the goal of taking attendees back in time. The day will be filled with learning experiences and adventure while exploring the sights and sounds of a Continental Army encampment. Organizers want to show area families what daily life was like for the soldiers serving under George Washington.
Historical reenactors will be on hand dressed as members of the militia, Continental Army, and the men and women of the colonial community. These individuals will bring history to life with their equipment, clothing, and knowledge. Banner printing is a colorful and bold way to promote such events and welcome guests in a memorable way.
Children at the event will get hands-on experiences, like musket firing demonstrations and recruitment activities. Visitors will receive an immersive experience at one of Pennsylvania’s most historic battlefields. Tours of the historic homes on the grounds will also be available to interested parties. Brandywine Complete Septic Services Inc. is this year’s sponsor.
The battlefield experience will be hosted by Brandywine Battlefield on Saturday, August 2 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children.
