The workshop, called Jump-Start Your Career, will last 10 weeks and is designed for those who are considering a change in careers, perhaps due to being unhappy with their current positions, underemployment, or being unemployed. Participants will take the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator to determine their occupational interests and what types of careers will be most satisfying.

They will also learn what skills they possess that are the most marketable and develop a plan for themselves that will enable them to move forward. They will have one-on-one appointments with the leaders of the workshop. The use of networking strategies and online tools will also be covered. Taking a proactive roles in career decision making is the focus of this workshop.

Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about topics covered in such workshops and completion requirements.

The workshop is being run by Ruth Campbell, a professor at the college, and Carol Dougherty, an adjunct counselor. Both are license professional counselors and designed the workshop.
