The accelerated Winter Session of Delaware County Community College in Media will be getting underway next month. Registration is open now, and visiting, returning, and new students are welcome to apply.
This session offers over 50 courses and enables students to complete the requirements for general education courses between semesters, or to help them get ahead on their education. Among the courses are introduction to business, elementary Spanish, general psychology, and American history. Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such courses, the topics covered, and their requirements.
These courses are all online but are as rigorous and demanding as face-to-face classroom courses. Among the benefits are that there is 24 hours a day, seven days a week technical support and access to tutorials. Assistant Dean of Digital Learning and Teaching Innovation, Alexander Plachuta, said that students who take these five-week courses and succeed have the needed discipline to balance study with their daily lives. However, he recommends that students take only one such intense course during this session.
The accelerated Winter Session will be held from Monday, December 9 through Thursday, January 9 and registration closes on Friday, December 6. A virtual information session to learn more about this Winter Session will be held on Tuesday, December 3 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm.
