Awards to honor local business leaders

The 2016 Small Business Awards are being held next month in Drexel Hill. This awards gala is presented by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

The event is set to feature a cocktail hour that will give plenty of opportunities for networking amongst the attendees. This will be followed by a keynote speaker, a sit-down dinner, and then the presentation of four awards. The awards to be handed out are Small Business, Nonprofit, Small Family Business, and Small Business Person (this year's honoree is publisher J.B. Braun).

Sponsorships can be purchased for $500 up to $2,500. Advertisements are also available from $25 to $100 for the event program that will be distributed to all attendees.

There will be plenty of chances to briefly talk about business with peers from all over Delaware County, including nearby Media. Many of those attending will also likely be placing a new business card printing order in advance so they have enough cards to exchange with those they meet.

The Small Business Awards will be held at the Drexel Events Center on March 31 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $50 for Delaware County Chamber of Commerce members and $75 for nonmembers, while tables of 8 are available for $400.
