Annual car show returns to Media

The 9th annual Media Downtown Car Show is taking place next month in downtown Media. It is presented by the Delco Cruisers Car Club and the Media Business Authority.

There are expected to be more than 300 antique and classic cars on display along State Street. Registration costs $15 and is not available in advance. Proceeds from this event go to help local charities.

There is much more than the cars too, with local stores and restaurants will be open to provide services to visitors. In past years, there has been food vendors and musical entertainment along the street.

For those who want to make a complete day out of coming downtown, they can also attend a performance of The Jungle Book. This is a musical based on the book by Rudyard Kipling and is also both an animated and live-action Disney movie. The show is running until August 21 at the Media Theatre. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children and there is a matinee performance at 12:00 noon.

Flyers will likely be distributed throughout Media to advertise the car show and encourage people to display their cars.
