The Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors has chosen Upper Merion for the Outstanding Citizen Communication Award. This will be the 27th year that the award has been given out.
The township was chosen for the prize thanks to its efforts to effectively communicate with the people who call it home. Since the prize was created, the goal has been to recognize Pennsylvania townships that have success sharing information about programs and activities, as well as local news, with residents.
Associations that give out awards and recognitions can use Stationery printers to produce the certificates and other Forms of recognition.
The Outstanding Citizen Communication Award is not the only recognition Upper Merion will receive this year. All told, it will collect five awards during the 50th Annual Citizen Communication Contest. The other prizes include first place in Social Media, first and second place in Cable TV programs, second place in "other publications" and second place in Class 1 Newsletters.
Speaking to the King of Prussia Courier, Greg Phillips, the chair of the board of supervisors, said:
“We are pleased to have once again received various categorical awards, but are ecstatic that Upper Merion was selected for the top honor of Outstanding Citizen Communication."
The township will receive the award during the 96th annual Educational Conference from April 22 to April 25.
