A Bala Cynwyd area event that has come to be a local favorite is right around the corner, and it will provide both a step back in time and a salute to list modern day farmers.
The Annual Harriton Farmstead Fair will soon be celebrating 35 years of offering fall fun, and both individuals and families alike may enjoy the fun. There will be a variety of experiences to enjoy, and both admissions and parking will be free.
The agenda for the day includes live music supplied by Summit Hill, and live raptor demonstrations will introduce everyone to birds of prey. Living historians will be strolling through the crowd, and a Lego activity table will be on hand for the kids. The younger guests can also spend some time in Pandora’s Garden, and the adults may appreciate tours of the venue. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and craft and other vendors will be on hand in the pop-up market.
While the function will offer lots of fun, it will have a purpose. It will serve as a fundraiser for the Harriton House. Local businesses that would like to help can contact info@harritonhouse.org. Events with a historical flavor often boast period style decor that's been prepared by a banner printing company.
