Bala Cynwyd beer lovers who would like to discover the area’s storied past when it comes to the art of brewing are invited to reserve their spot now in a tour that is set to visit Laurel Hill West and East.
The historic cemetery offers a glimpse into the area's history, and its Pints and Plots: Brew Masters guided walk will explore the role beer has played. Mike Lewandowski , who is a certified beer judge and award winning homebrewer in his own right, will guide the activity, and it will be family friendly.
The attendees will learn how those who now rest in the venue helped make Philadelphia one of the country’s best beer drinking cities. They will be introduced to the local brewmasters and distributors who built the industry, and at the end of the tour, everyone who is of legal drinking age will be invited to do some taste testing. The session will open at Laurel Hill West, and the registrants can drive their vehicle to Laurel Hill East for the sipping and sampling.
Cemeteries often serve as repositories of a community history, taking a step back in time to its early days. A brochure printing company can prepare programs and other materials for use during a walking workshop or other activity.
Laurel Hill will be giving Bala Cynwyd beer fans lots to talk about on September 19th. The tour will begin at 1:00 pm.
