Bala Cynwyd offers program for older adults

A Bala Cynwyd program will provide those age 60 and up with an opportunity to express themselves through art, and there are three sessions in the works.

The Barbara and Harvey Brodsky Enrichment Center in Bala Cynwyd will be the venue for the Seasons of Change art workshops, and they will begin mid-January. Each will run for two hours, and no experience is needed.

The activity will provide an opportunity for the registrants to reflect upon their life experiences and look forward to the future, and it will provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It will be guided by a facilitator, and as spaces are limited, anyone who would like to be included is asked to register in advance.

The event is on offer thanks to a partnership between the New Horizon Senior Center and JFCS. Anyone who needs an accommodation to be part of the sessions is asked to let the planner know when they submit their registration form.

Paint therapy and other sessions that encourage creative expression may be valuable experiences for those who take part. A flyer printing company will be happy to lend a hand when it comes to marketing an activity to the public.

The "Seasons of Changeā€ art therapy series for older adults will begin on January 13, with further installments on January 20 and 27.
