Oregons first Shake Shack to be launched in Portland
The much-talked-about Shake Shack will be opening it first Oregon location, a sit-down restaurant here in Portland.
Shake Shack’s success story started with its founding as a food cart in 2004 outside Madison Square Park in New York City. The chain, which can be found in 29 states, identifies itself as a “modern-day roadside burger stand.” It can also be found in a number of other countries, including Kuwait and Mexico.
Long before a new eatery opens its door, it is common for the ownership to get in touch with a banner printing service to announce its opening well in advance.
The planned for Portland location at 1016 West Burnside will bump the number of states with Shake Shacks to 30. The new eatery will be across the street from Powell’s Books and next door to Living Room Theater. According to the Daily Journal of Commerce, site renderings show that Portland’s new hamburger restaurant will feature an uncovered outdoor eating area in addition to a large covered patio.
The chain is known for serving up the “classics”, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, fries, and shakes. Frozen custard is also included as well as a few other traditional sides for this type of cuisine.
As yet, no date has been announced for the Portland Shake Shack’s opening.
