The Willamette River Revival is taking place at the end of this month in Portland, presented by the Portland Harbor Community Advisory Group, the St. Johns Main Street Coalition, and the Cathedral Park Neighborhood Association.
An environmental fair will be presenting information from local environmental groups with information on such matters as cleanup proposals of the river. There will also be science demonstrations of environmental processes.
There are set to be displays of live birds from Audubon and live fish. There will be information about Native American culture, including storytelling.
There will also be entertainment such as child dance troupes and live music. Some of the performers who will be appearing are Loggers Daughter, The New Iberians, and Cascade Crescendo.
Guests can also take a walking tour, watch the launch of a hand-built boat by middle school students or relax in the beer garden. Food will also be available for purchase from carts.
Sponsorships are still available to be purchased and, in order to ensure as many people in Portland know about the festival as possible, organizers could choose to invest in professional marketing services.
The Willamette River Revival will be held at Cathedral Park on July 31 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm. Admission is free of charge. For the most up-to-date information, or to become a sponsor, visit the official event website.
