The former location of Shari’s Café & Pies near the Portland International Airport at 11335 N.E. Airport Way is going to be taken over by a new Elmer’s restaurant.
The location in question was the last of Oregon’s Shari’s to close and it, as well as several others in the Portland area, are to be become Elmer’s, a regional all-day breakfast chain. With Shari’s shuttering its doors last fall, the Portland-based chain has seized the opportunity for growth by turning Shari’s locations into additional franchises.
Restaurants utilize printing services in any number of ways from creating exterior and interior signage to printing Menus and business Stationery.
The first Elmer’s was opened in 1960 as Elmer’s Colonial Pancaked House here in Portland and has grown to over two dozen locations across Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, and Idaho.
Presently, Elmer’s has nine restaurants open in the Portland area, including one located less than a mile from this latest location. New Elmer’s restaurants are also slated to open in the fall in Tualatin, Hillsboro, and Bend, all of which were at Shari’s sites.
Other restaurant chains besides Elmer’s have taken over former Shari’s sites, among which are Shake Shake and In-N-Out.
The new Portland Elmer’s is, according to the website, expecting to open sometime this winter
