A new wine walk will be taking place in Lake Grove later this month.
Only wines from Oregon will be featured at the Oregon Wine Walk at 20 pouring locations. The walk will be in Lake Oswego along Boones Ferry Road. Such events provide an ideal opportunity for wineries to promote their offerings with flyer printing and other printing services.
The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce is limiting the event to 400 attendees. Tickets for the event will be available in advance as well as for purchase at the door. Tickets are $40 each if purchased today (May 1), or $50 thereafter.
Matt Evans, economic and business research analyst from the Chamber, said that the wineries participating in the event will be from all parts of the state, including Clackamas County and Southern Oregon. Evans added that there promises to be a wide range and diversity of wine given the many kinds of grapes grown in the state. He said the response to this event has been highly positive as wineries are gearing up for the season.
The state has sponsored the event with a grant of $25,000 from Travel Oregon. Lake Oswego has also made improvements along Boones Ferry Road to make the roadway more walkable.
The Oregon Wine Walk will be on Saturday, May 11 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
