What's Happening in Lake Oswego, OR…

Restaurant serving healthy comfort food to come to Lake Oswego

The Lake Oswego area will soon have a permanent location of The Whole Bowl.

This is a popular food cart that sells bowls of rice with sour cream, cheese, beans, and other ingredients. It will be opening in what was once the location of Moberi in the Mercato Grove mixed-use center. Such locations can turn to banner printing to inform residents and visitors of upcoming eateries.

Ryan Carpenter, founder of Moberi, recently purchased the brand of The Whole Bowl and decided to replace the location of Moberi, which sold acai bowls and smoothies, with his new purchase. Carpenter believes The Whole Bowl will attract workers in the Kruse Way area for lunch and residents of Lake Oswego.

Carpenter added that Moberi attracts people after school and for special occasions, and does particularly well on the weekends. He said that The Whole Bowl is a staple of lunch, and he thinks that the location he chose will be ideal for its offerings.

The Whole Bowl was founded in 2001 by Tali Ovadia and has seven locations, demonstrating its popularity and success. Carpenter does not plan to change its classic menu, which is a bowl with brown rice, cheddar cheese, red beans, sour cream, black olives, avocado, and Tali sauce.

The Whole Bowl is expected to open early next month.
