Lake Oswego welcomes new chocolate and tea shop

Mamancy Tea & Chocolate is now open at what was once a location of Chocolates by Bernards in Lake Oswego.

The store sells a wide range of chocolate and tea products, which customers can try out at the shop or take out.

Anne Johnson is the owner of the shop. She grew up in Kenya, which is one of the top tea producers in the world and tea drinking is a daily activity. She said that her shop is about the experience of tasting, drinking, and enjoying the culture of tea accompanied with something sweet.

Available at the shop are teas from Kenya, as well as from China, India, and Japan. Products such as green, black, and herbal teas are offered. Johnson hopes that people will enjoy the experience of “high tea” and then take home a bag for their own experiences.

Mamancy Tea & Chocolate also offers chocolate such as truffles, bars, and bonbons made at its location in Hillsboro. Johnson said these are seasonal and are unique in flavor, and can be customized with embellishments and flowers. Johnson is a certified chocolatier.

Such new shops may want to use brochure printing to provide more details about their products and experiences.

Johnson opened a location in Hillsboro and Beaverton in 2020, but closed the one in Beaverton, opting for this new location in Lake Oswego.
