The first River Grove Art and Craft Fair will be held this weekend and will feature the work of local artisans, craftspeople, and students from the elementary school. Residents of the community and nearby Lake Oswego will not want to miss this special event.
The parent-teacher organization of River Grove is the organizer of the fair. The group has already raised $3,000 in booth fees from vendors that will go to support the school. Attendance by those in the community and the purchase of products from local vendors will further support the school and go a long way to making this fair an annual tradition.
Among the items to be featured at the fair will be artwork and home décor, as well as ceramics and jewelry. For the children in attendance, there will be handmade games and toys in addition to homemade candy, cotton candy, and pretzels. Students from River Grove Elementary will also be selling their work. The River Grove PTO said that this will be an “extravaganza” that will display something for everyone.
Poster printing is often used throughout a community and surrounding towns to promote such unique events.
The River Grove Art and Craft Fair will be held this Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Uplands Elementary School on Wembley Park Road.
