Cathedral Coffee is slated to replace the location of the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on McVey Avenue in Lake Oswego.
Matthieu Galizia, co-owner of Cathedral Coffee, lives three blocks from the new shop and grew up in Lake Oswego. He expressed his excitement about bringing Cathedral to his hometown and added that the goal of the establishment is to create connections and community amongst both customers and staff. He said he wants to cultivate meaningful relationships both in front of and behind the counter.
Cathedral roasts specialty coffee which is also sourced ethically. Galizia said that it is important as to where the coffee comes from, how it was created and purchased, and will be roasted in a way that will make it unique and special. The shop will also sell baked goods and pastries.
Local Print shops can help such establishments be promoted throughout a neighborhood by creating Flyers and other printed materials.
Erin Frank, director of brand growth and communications for Bambuza Hospitality Group which opened the location of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in 2022, said that “coffee shops are the living room of any neighborhood” and is delighted that this will be an opportunity for Cathedral Coffee to move into the space.
Cathedral has locations in Scappoose and St. Johns and is expected to open by the end of the year.
