Two alternative rock bands headline Bend concert
Bend’s Hayden Amphitheater will soon welcome a concert from two of alternative rock’s biggest names: LCD Soundsystem and TV on the Radio.
The concert comes as both bands are on the verge of a comeback from long hiatuses. For LCD Soundsystem, they’re expected to release a new album this year following their new single, X-Ray Eyes. As for TV on the Radio, frontman Tunde Adepimpe has recently returned to music from a long break with his new solo album, Thee Black Boltz.
It's been eight years since LCD Soundsystem released an album with the critically acclaimed American Dream. However, even that release came several years after the band announced they were bowing out of the music scene entirely with the “farewell” concert film Shut Up and Play the Hits back in 2012. Luckily for fans, frontman James Murphy has continued performing music and releasing tracks under the LCD Soundsystem moniker.
As for TV on the Radio, Adepimpe took a hiatus in 2019 when the band was arguably at the peak of their success after a demanding tour and a gig at Madison Square Garden. The frontman has remained busy with an emerging acting career in shows like The Skeleton Crew and the film Twisters.

LCD Soundsystem and TV On The Radio are performing on August 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hayden Amphitheater in Bend.
