People in Bend urged to attend Climate Conference

A call has been sent out by the community’s mayor for all residents of Bend to attend the upcoming Climate Conference that will be held in the city.

The event, which will be hosted by the not-for-profit educational and

advocacy group 350Deschutes, will bring together stakeholders from the non-profit and business world, as well as members of the public who are interested in learning more about clean energy from communities that have already begun to shift their economies in this direction.

During the conference, ideas and best practices will be shared, including how clean and renewable Forms of energy can boost an area’s economy and employment, as well as attract and develop “green” businesses. Experts in a variety of subject areas, including waste material management, renewable energy, building efficiency, public transportation, water and wastewater management and agriculture will also be making presentations. A variety of Promotional Products with an environmentally friendly theme can be produced for events such as this.

A feature of the event will be a World Café, where those who attend can share and brainstorm their ideas that may be suitable for application in the state.
