KIDS Center to open its doors for public tour
Bend’s KIDS Center offers a refuge to abused children and their families, and the public is invited to stop by and learn more about the supports and services it provides in the community.
The center will be opening its doors to those who would like to discover the ways it supports the community, while also helping to prevent child abuse and meet the needs of those who it has impacted. It will be an in-depth visit, and there is no cost to take part.
During the tour, the participants will meet with staff and get a “child’s eye” view of the facility, and there will be a discussion of the therapeutic practices offered at the site. It was explained that the center provides assistance to over 800 children each year, and the visitors will find out what makes the facility important to the local area. It has been requested that anyone who would like to take part should RSVP ahead of time, as this will help in planning the tour.
Hosting an open-house event like this can give the public a sneak peek into an organization and how it operates. Promotional pens and other items can be prepared to give to each participant, and these can be printed with the group’s logo design.
This chance to learn more about the KIDS Center has been scheduled for the evening of September 23. Anyone with questions has been asked to call 541-383-5958.
