Famous comedian takes stage in Bend
Bend’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater will host one of the most famous comedians of his generation, Jerry Seinfeld, for a show this July.
Making his debut on the national stage in a 1981 episode of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Seinfeld has since become a household name in the world of comedy.
He teamed up Larry David to create the NBC sitcom Seinfeld, which became popular among viewers in the 1990s and earned multiple awards, including Emmy Awards.
After the show ended, Seinfeld continued developing his work as a stand-up comedian and periodically released specials. He also co-wrote and starred in the film computer-animated film Bee Movie. In addition, he has starred in a unique talk show whose premise is also its namesake, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
In recent years, Seinfeld has teamed up Netflix for a number of project, the latest being satirical, fictional comedy film, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story. Other Seinfeld projects on the streaming service include Jerry Before Seinfeld, a comedy special which delves into his biography and influences, and 23 Hours to Kill, his follow-up special.
