Chart-topping rapper makes Bend tour stop

Bend’s Midtown Ballroom will host the multi-platinum-selling rap artist Yelawolf as part of his national tour this spring.

The Yelawolf 45 tour includes performances at venues all across the country coming off of his first double album released last year, War Story: Trunk Muzik 4Ever and War Story: Michael Wayne.

The Gadsden, Alabama native — now based in Nashville — rose to national prominence in the 2010s, in particular with his breakthrough album Radioactive. The follow-up, Love Story, generated two platinum-selling singles, with the album reaching #3 on the Billboard 200. The albums Trial By Fire and Ghetto Cowboy followed.

Yelawolf has collaborated with everyone from Eminem to Ed Sheeran, A$AP Rocky, blink-182 and Big Boi, among others.

His current tour, celebrating the artist’s 45th birthday, has taken him on the road at stops that include Portland and Eugene, Oregon, the Torgtuga Fest in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Montana, Missouri, Idaho, Washington and Nevada, among others. Some of the performances include limited meet-and-greets and VIP packages, according to Yelawolf’s website. Now he’s taking the show to Bend.

Yelawolf is performing on May 1 at 8 p.m. at the Midtown Ballroom in Bend at 51 Northwest Greenwood Avenue. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the all-ages show and tickets are available online.
