Bend to showcase much-loved film at a free screening
Bend families and movie fans will be treated with an opportunity to kick off the new year by attending a free screening at a local theater.
The Tower Theatre has teamed up with the Dechutes Public Library to provide families with a free movie night out. Advanced registration is mandatory, and when they reserve their tickets, the attendees will be able to choose their seats.
The movie that will be screened will be “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'', which is based on the much-loved book penned by J.K Rowling in the late 90’s.
Elk Meadow Elementary and the Assistance League of Bend will be on hand to supply free books for as long as supplies last, and a station will be set up in the the theater’s lobby. The giveaway will take place before the curtain goes up, and the goal is to help promote literacy and a love of reading.
A family activity can be a fun way for a community to strengthen connections. Souvenir programs, corporate gifts to offer as door prizes, cinema style movie posters, and other printed materials can all be prepared by a professional printer in the local area.
