Bend summer day camp to be filled with nature-based fun
Juniper Jungle Learning Farm teaches Bend kids nature-based lessons, and has plans in the works for a special summer camp for local kids.
When school wraps up for another year, area children will be able to keep on leaning and have fun doing so at the Garden Faeries co-ed camp. It is for kids between the ages of three and five, and the agenda for the week is filled with activities.
The campers will get lots of hands-on experience in nature, and they will explore the site’s gardens, canal, and mud kitchens. They will plant, dig in the soil, meet wild creatures face to face, and also get to know the farm’s resident livestock. Seed ball making and other crafts, basic cookery, treasure hunts will all take place, and if it gets too hot, the whole group can enjoy the canal and running through the center’s farm’s sprinklers.
Camp organizers often find that area print shops have lots to offer them, they can supply everything from corporate gifts like camper T-shirts to registration forms, and they will be able to work with a variety of budget levels.
Juniper Jungle Learning Farm will be welcoming local youngsters for its Garden Faeries Camp from June 28 to July 2. Each day will run from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
