The Well Traveled Fork is sponsoring a Bend Local Farm and Ranch Tour next weekend. Those who participate will be taken on a tour of local farms and ranches in the Bend area, with commentary by a guide and, in some instances, by the people who run the establishments.
Bend, Oregon is known for its healthy approach to life, and that includes the food that is eaten. Farmers and ranchers in the area take a back-to-nature approach, growing foods without chemicals and raising animals in ways close to the way nature intended. To help people gain a better awareness of natural ways of producing food, the Well Traveled Fork (a central Oregon based organization dedicated to the culinary arts) sponsors events throughout the state.
The Bend Local Farm and Ranch Tour takes those who participate to organic vegetable farms, beef, pig, and sheep ranches, as well as a free range chicken operation and an alpaca ranch. Picture taking may be worthwhile, and could extend to contracting with a Print company to have flyer or postcard printing done for distribution.
The Bend Local Farm and Ranch Tour will be held March 8, starting at 8:30 am and continuing for three to four hours. The cost for the tour will be $55 per person. Those who wish to learn more can visit the group’s website.Get a Free Quote for Print
