Bend residents asked to be there with bells

This holiday season, residents of Bend and the surrounding area are invited to come out and have fun while improving the lives of those living with arthritis and related diseases.

The Arthritis Foundation will be

hosting its annual Jingle Bell Walk, which it holds to raise both funds and awareness for arthritis. The public is invited to gather their friends and families together, don their ugly Christmas sweaters or holiday costumes, and be there with bells on.

Both five-kilometer and one-mile options are available, and there will also be a costume contest, an ugly sweater competition, and more. Kids can enter the fun run, where they can walk or jog alongside some Christmas elves. Dogs are welcome to come along, but will need to be on a leash to participate. A print company can be called upon to supply an event such as this with everything from banners, to race bibs and T-shirts that are needed to make it a success.

The Jingle Bell Walk and Run will be held on December 3, with registration beginning at 10:00 am. The event itself is scheduled to start at 11:30 am in the parking lot of the Bank of the Cascades located at the corner of Newport and Wall. The costume and ugly sweater contest judging will take place at 11:00 am.

More about the event can be found on its website.
