Bend kids invited to day of nature exploration

Bend parents on the lookout for a spring break activity for their child may want to check out one coming up in their own hometown.

Juniper Jungle Learning Farm offers an assortment of programming for kids, and during March break, organizers hope the Hobbit and Faerie Finders will spark the imagination of little ones between the ages of 6 and 12. The registration fee starts at $67.00, and it will encourage youngsters to get out and explore the natural world.

The campers will each be constructing a small-scale dwelling for faeries or hobbit sized folk, and while they work, they will learn about the plants they will use and what makes them special. The group will head outdoors to find locations to site their structures, and they will even learn about the meaning of any bird songs and calls they might happen to hear.

While an activity like this may be filled with whimsy, keeping it organized has a more practical side. A printing services company can prepare business and liability Forms, registrations blanks and many other types of documents, and it will be able to use recycled materials to do so, making it an environmentally minded choice.

The date for this day of exploration will be March 23, and the fee starts at $67. The venue is at 22135 Erickson Road in Bend.
