Preparations are underway in Bend for an activity that will highlight the importance of good mental health.
The community’s Drake Park will be welcoming one and all for the Balanced Bend Mental Health Festival. This family-friendly function may be of interest to all ages, and admission is free.
The festivities will give area residents a chance to join together to learn about mental health, and one of its goals is to educate the public. Its listing explained that, in the past, it has attracted hundreds of attendees, and the proceeds from the day will help to make sure therapy, workshops and supports are accessible to all. Many groups will have displays set up, and perks such as free massages, live music and workshops will be on offer at no cost to the participants.
A community wellness fair gives healthcare professionals and organizations a venue where they can connect with the public.
