Bend event to welcome whiskey fans
Whiskey fans from all over Oregon will soon be congregating in Bend for an event that will celebrate this storied libation.
Tickets are now on offer for the annual Oregon Whiskey Festival, where varieties brewed in the state will be put front and center. It will give distillers the opportunity to showcase their products, and as the celebration will take place outdoors under cover, it will go ahead rain or shine.
Each individual ticketholder for the experience will be able to taste a variety of whiskeys, and they will also have the opportunity to meet the distillers in person. At least 20 will be represented, and while they enjoy the pours, the attendees will be able to meet and mingle with their fellow whiskey fans.
As a thank-you for their support, every person who purchases a ticket will receive a tasting glass printed with a special graphic design. They will also be given eight taster tokens, and will be able to buy food from one of the trucks on hand. Live music and tours of the venue are also in the works. Designated drivers may enter for free, but everyone in attendance needs to be at least 21 years old.
This celebration of the state’s distilling sector is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 at Oregon Spirit Distillers, 740 NE 1st Street.
