Bend event to tee off fore disabled kids

The organizers of a Bend fundraiser have put out a call to golfers from all over Oregon to come and be part of a fun-filled day at Widgi Creek.

The participants in the Swing for Dreams Golf Tournament will be hitting the green in support of Creating Memories for Disabled Children. It will kick off with registration and morning coffee, and those who prefer something a little bit stronger can sip on mimosa or a bloody Mary.

Once everyone has checked in, they will be invited to test their skills in a putting contest, and the shotgun start for the golfers will take place at 11:00 am. The organizers have plans in the works to set up games and other activities at each hole, and complimentary bottled water will be supplied. Once they have completed the course, everyone will be treated to appetizers and also a no-host bar, and they can socialize and mingle while they place their bids on items in the silent auction.

A golf fundraiser like this often draws quite a crowd, and the organizers are hoping this tournament will be no exception. Promoting the event can be a breeze with assistance from a printing services company.

The 2021 Swing for Dreams Golf Tournament is set to tee off on August 21 at 9:30 am. Anyone who would like to register at the early bird rate is asked to do so by July 31.
