Bend evening to explore end-of-life support
An evening that will lend a hand in ensuring Bend residents have access to suitable support at the end of their lives is on the agenda for this September.
The annual Groundswell fundraiser will turn compassion into action, and it will be on offer at 62430 Eagle Road. Those who participate will be supporting equitable end-of-life care for all.
Hanai of Bend will be the venue for the celebration, and live musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by Honey Don’t. There will be stories shared of how the Peaceful Presence Project, a non-profit committed to making the last stage of life as comfortable as possible, has impacted the community. Both a raffle and silent auction are scheduled.
Each ticket includes heavy appetizers, two drink tickets and also dessert. A “Before I Die” wall will be set up to encourage everyone to pause and give thought to making the most of their life.
Along with the other perks offered to the attendees, everyone will go home with a reusable metal cup printed with a special graphic design. Corporate gifts for such an event can be prepared by area printers.
This opportunity to enjoy an evening of community and reflection will be on Saturday, September 9. It will begin at 4:00 pm, and it will wrap up at 6:30 pm.
