Bend camp to explore its riparian areas

The riparian areas of the world can seem mysterious, especially to the younger set. A summer day camp will introduce Bend kids to the plants and animals that call the riverside home, and it will include plenty of water-filled fun.

During the ‘Mythic Mermaids and Mermen’ program, Tumalo State Park will be taken over by the campers who register for the activity. The youngsters will be welcome to play and explore.

The campers will learn about the plants and animals at the water’s edge, and they will also build homes for fairies and other fantasy creatures. They will discover how legends surrounding mermaids and mermen can be found all over the world, and they will be invited to learn and sing songs about these mythical creatures. They will be spending a lot of the day in the water, allowing them to beat the summer heat.

A camp like this that combines learning with fun can be a great fit for many kids. T-Shirts for the participants and staff, as well as other Promotional Products, can be prepared ahead of the event by area printers.

Wildheart Nature School will be running this camp from July 20 until July 24. It’s intended for children who are from ages five to eight, and will be taking place in Tumalo State Park.
