Westerville to welcome new pizza place

Rapid Fired Pizza, a pizza chain based in Dayton, is going to open its first area location in Westerville.

Nathan Liggett is the Rapid Fired Pizza franchisee, and he is going to operate the restaurant, which comprises 3,200 square feet in what was the Guernsey Bank, located on State Street.

Rapid Fired is a “build your own” pizza restaurant, which offers patrons their choice of eight cheeses, eight sauces, and 35 topping so they can create the exact pie they want. They can also choose between a 9-inch pan pizza or an 11-inch pizza with a thin crust. In addition to all these selections, Rapid Fired has 14 dipping sauces on its menu, which differentiates it from other fast-casual spots. It is also unusual in that the “rapid” in Rapid Fired refers to the fact that special ovens bake the pizzas in about three minutes.

Rapid Fired picked the site, which will have a patio and seating for 90 inside, because it is close to offices, neighborhoods, and shopping, according to the company. The company aims to keep prices low, with salads and pizzas costing $7.25.

Companies like these can benefit by working with flyer printing companies, which can create handouts for distribution near new businesses when they open. Liggett is planning a December opening for the new spot.
