Westerville concert to benefit local cancer charity

The Fourth Annual Concert for a Cure: Benefiting Pelotonia will take place at a local Westerville brewery next month to raise money for the organization Pelotonia’s efforts to support cancer research.

Pelotonia is a cycling charity organization that raises money by hosting cycling and volunteer events, including the Ride Weekend, which brings together thousands of riders across Central Ohio to ride between 17 to 165 miles over a one- or two-day event. Since its founding, Pelotonia has raised over $339m for innovative cancer research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center that houses the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

The Concert for a Cure is an annual musical benefit put on by the community to support Pelotonia’s efforts. This year the concert will be held at Grizzlybird Brewing Company and will be headlined by Bourbon Legend. There will be a silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle, with all funds going towards the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

Charity events involving raffles, such as this one, will sometimes call upon local businesses in the community to become sponsors by donating Promotional Products to be part of the prizes offered.

The benefit concert is slated for April 18 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grizzlybird Brewing Company is at 5901-B Chandler Court, Westerville.
