Westerville has an entire event dedicated to a familiar puzzle.
In spite of the rise of online gaming, multi-level games with multiple players and other types of digital entertainment, old-fashioned games are as popular as ever. One of the perennial favorites is the jigsaw puzzle.
For the first time ever, Westerville is presenting Puzzlepalooza, a chance for puzzle fans to get together, enjoy their favorite activity, and have a chance to win a prize. The jigsaw puzzle challenge is set up for team participation, with teams comprised of two, three, or four players. All teams will be given the same puzzle, with the aim of putting it together in the shortest time. The puzzles are medium-sized, with 500 pieces in each, but the subject of the puzzles has not been revealed.
The team that finishes their puzzle first will win a prize, and all teams will take their finished puzzles home with them. There is a small entry fee that covers the entire team; however, each member of the team must register in order to take part. Snacks and other light refreshments will be provided.
Puzzlepalooza is scheduled for February 28 from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm, in the Westerville Community Center. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts to publicize events like this, as well as provide attendees with instructions.
