Westerville library to transform into fantasy experience

Westerville’s public library is planning a “Wizards & Wands Festival” next month. It will be a Halloween-themed event open to the public.

Taking place throughout the evening, the event promises a night of “activities and spellbinding performers” in what will be a family-friendly affair.

Some shows that participants can catch include a juggling performance, a comedy competition, and a magic show. There will also be some educational entertainment, which includes presentations on wolves, owls, and bugs.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes while at the event. The library will also transform its interior to match the occasion. Guests can expect the library to be styled like a medieval fantasy, with features like an enchanted forest and a dragon hatchery, all of which contain secrets hidden within.

The library will also offer “missions” during and before the event. Children participating can tackle these missions to earn points, which can be used for a chance to win prizes like promotional Pens and other goods.

The festival will take place on October 22 between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. For a full schedule of activities, the library has more details on its website. Entry to the event will be free, and guests can find the library at 126 South Slate Street. Anyone with more questions can call 614-882-7277.
