This November, Seeds of Caring will host a food drive in conjunction with Westerville Area Resource Ministry, an event designed to get kids involved in social activism in their community.
Seeds of Caring is a volunteer network and nonprofit organization that engages children ages 2 to 12 in social action and community-oriented activities to nurture kindness and empathy for others. November’s food drive will teach Westerville area children in an age-appropriate way about the problems of poverty and hunger in their own community.
The event will require that children and their families collect non-perishable food items ahead of time and then bring them to Westerville Area Resource Ministry. During the event, children will be given the task of sorting and weighing the food items, while also learning why they are doing it. Informational Flyers will also be sent in the event confirmation email so children can use to help conduct their own neighborhood food drives should they choose to.
The Seeds of Caring food drive is scheduled for November 6 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Westerville Area Resource Ministry is located at 150 Heatherdown Drive. As this is an indoor event, face masks will be required regardless of vaccination status.
Events like this that incorporate Flyers to facilitate related activities often require assistance from businesses specializing in flyer printing.
