Westerville will host the From Bootstraps to Breakthroughs: Piloting the Journey to Accessing Capital luncheon for businesswomen in the area.
The luncheon will bring together a diverse group of experienced women business owners to discuss their professional journeys in building their own thriving businesses. Topics will include the complexities of accessing funding, including how women experience both difficulties and opportunities in accessing capital. The dynamic panel will discuss self-funding and bootstrapping methods as well as securing investors, loans, and grants. These women will share personal journeys and experiences navigating entrepreneurship to highlight what has and hasn’t worked for them.
The panel will consist of Michelle Allen, CEO and founder of MMELO Boutique Confections; Jill Frey, president and CEO of Cummins Facility Services; and Chelsie Casagrande, co-founder of Flat 51. The moderator will be Cindi Englefield, co-manager and co-founder/chief investor relationship officer of Accelerating Angels. The panel will benefit entrepreneurs just starting out as well as more experienced business owners looking to scale up their operations.
