Next month, Westerville locals should note that the Raise A Racket for Cervical Cancer Awareness charity event will be held in nearby Plain City, to raise money for education programs and resources to protect women against cervical cancer.
For over 11 years, the fundraiser has been raising awareness of cervical cancer and cervical cancer prevention by raising money for programs aimed at educating girls and women about screenings, tests, and the HPV vaccine. The goal for this year will be to raise $60,000 to support the programs.
The event will feature tennis and pickleball games as its main event. Participants will get to choose to play one tournament in either tennis or pickleball. Other activities include entertainment from DJ IQ of 106.7 The Beat, a silent auction, and food and beverages from BIBIBOP Asian Grill, Heidelberg Distributing, and Brown-Forman. Tickets include food, two alcoholic beverages, and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. Guests will also receive a signature tumbler if they register before December 20.
