A new Taco Bell outlet will be opening at Westerville Square, and it will have something of a claim to its name – the amount being shelled out on the building will make it among the most expensive Taco Bells in the U.S.
The process of bringing the new restaurant to the site was lengthy, but Stephen Breech, who is president of the The Hadler Cos., which owns the center, said the developer was patient with the process. Beech said Westerville is quite specific about how it wants the community to look, and what it will agree to have done. He went on to say he believes Taco Bell is building an attractive building to meet Westerville's standards.
Jason Bechtold, who is the economic development administrator for Westerville, said that Taco Bell's willingness to invest a substantial amount of money in a new-style building indicates that Westerville's efforts to revitalize the area around the mall are working.
Bechtold notes there are many examples of reinvestment in this area, on both public and private projects, that coincide with the development of the shopping center.
The new Taco Bell should be completed by the end of 2015. At that time, the new management might want to work with a flyer printing company to create a handout for distribution at the new location, including a coupon and inviting people to the new store.
