People who would like to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors have an event just for them coming up soon.
The Freeze Your Fanny 5K/10K has been scheduled for the third year, to take place in the Sharon Wood Metro Park in Westerville. The race is open to anyone who is interested in having fun and perhaps working off a few of the indulgences left over from Thanksgiving. At the present time, the event is billed as an in-person race, but there is a possibility it could go viral if health conditions preclude public gatherings.
Based on previous events, runners can expect to pick up their packets on the day of the race, at the starting line. They will receive a mug and sweatshirt there, and snacks and hot chocolate at the finish line. Timing chips will be located on the back of the race bibs, and participants are asked to wear the bib as their top layer of clothing so the timings will be accurate.
Race participants will be allowed to bring their dogs with them if they like, and both Gatorade and water will be available at stations along the course. The entire course is paved, but there are no restrooms, except at the starting and finishing lines. Sharon Woods includes a lake, fields, and forests, and is a beautiful venue.
The race is set for December 5, at 10:00 am. Banner printing can provide signage for outdoor events like this.
