Music and arts in spotlight at Westerville festival

The Westerville Area Chamber will hold the Music & Arts Festival in town next month to highlight the creative talent of Westerville and offer a day of fun, inspiration, and culinary delights.

The festival will feature 125 exhibitors consisting of fine arts vendors and artisans selling a wide range of handcrafted wonders from paintings and pottery to home decor and woodworking. Some artists that will be represented include Weird World Art, Elyse Petersen; Markgraf Clayworks, Karen Markgraf; and LiveEdge Creations, Bruce Chaffins.

There will also be over 30 musical performances to entertain guests, representing musical genres from pop/rock bands like Cami Nyx & the Shades to singer-songwriters like Kelley Vaughn. There will also be youth entertainment and activities, such as face painting, balloon twisting, and Columbus Blue Jackets Yard Games. Food vendors will include Big Pappy's BBQ, Broke Johnny Food Truck, Cupzilla LLC, Eaton Cookies, Grilled Cheese Gangsters, and many more.

Those wanting to dress the part can purchase festival T-Shirts that have the event Logo Design on them. These can be purchased for $20 (adult) and $15 (youth) and picked up at the Chamber office.

The Westerville festival will take place on July 13 and July 14. It will be held at Heritage Park & Everal Barn, which is located at 60 North Cleveland Avenue. General admission $2 for those who are 11 and older and free for children under 10.
