A festival celebrating the arts is on the calendar for Westerville.
The Westerville Area Chamber’s Music & Arts Festival attracts as many as 18,000 people each year, and supports a headliner in concert, food vendors, performers, and more than 130 artisans from the local area and throughout the nation. The event has been part of Westerville's summers for 47 years, and brings in almost $1 million for the community.
Plans are still being finalized for the 2020 event, but organizers plan to have 130 national and local artisans, 20 food trucks, numerous vendors, and more than 30 live performances spread over three stages. A Silent Auction of artwork will be held in the Everal Barn, where visitors can enjoy a break in an air-conditioned space. New for 2020 is the Mount Carmel Family Hospitality Tent, where families can take a break, clean up, and take care of the littlest festival attendees.
The event is organized so that it's easy for attendees to stroll through the venue and find the vendors and performers they want to see. Flyer printing is a great tool for creating handouts to help attendees enjoy events like this.
The 2019 festival, which will serve as a model for the upcoming festivities, was named "2019 Best Suburban Festival" by CityScene Magazine's Best of the 'Bus.
The Music & Arts Festival this year is set for July 11 and 12, at Heritage Park in Westerville.
