Come to Westerville for a Cookie Walk

An upcoming event in Westerville allows participants to eat sweets, support the city, and get some exercise, all at the same time.

Westerville will be the site of the 3rd Annual Uptown Cookie Walk, hosted by Uptown Westerville, Inc. The organization is a non-profit that helps create private and public partnerships to maintain the charm and economic strength of Uptown Westerville. Uptown Westerville will use the money from the Cookie Walk to making improvements to the area, preserving the historic district, build community, and undertake beautification projects. Among these, it has considered items like benches, planters, crosswalks, and sidewalks.

The walk begins at Amish Originals Furniture Company, where participants will be given a passport that is good for the entire day. Using the passport, walkers can find their way through the area, and check off the various destinations taking part in the Walk. Shopping Bags will be given to attendees, to give them a place to store their sweet treats.

The Uptown Cookie Walk is scheduled to take place from 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm on February 15. Tickets are $10 apiece, and are limited to 250. The event tends to sell out, so people interested in walking and munching should buy theirs now. All ages are welcome to participate. Poster printing can be used in events like this, to identify locations that are participating in the fun.
