Hundreds of people from all over Northeast Ohio will be coming together near Middleburg Heights to raise funds and awareness about epilepsy.
The Epilepsy Association has planned its 13th Annual Winter Walk, which will be held in Strongsville’s South Park Mall. It is two miles in length, and all ages are welcome.
Throughout the event, there will be entertainment and also a chance to learn about epilepsy, its causes and how it is treated. Mascots will be on hand to meet the younger walkers, and refreshments will be served to all who participate. Each person who registers will receive a free T-shirt and goodie bag that has been filled with an assortment of swag to thank them for their support.
The organizers noted that they have set a goal of having at least 500 people register to take part in the day, and they are hoping to raise at least $45,000 to help support the Epilepsy Association and its initiatives. Banners, custom designed T-Shirts, registration Forms and many other items can be sourced for an event like this from a local printer.
January 27 has been selected as the date for this community fundraiser, and it is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am. The proceeds from the day will stay in the Northeast Ohio area. The organizer’s website includes more information for anyone who would like to take part.
