A major garage sale event is hitting Middleburg Heights one weekend in July.
The City of Middleburg Heights is helping to disseminate information about the event, with a list of participants available at the Middleburg Heights Community Center. Other than that, it’s pretty much a completely grassroots affair happening at individual homes across the city.
People are encouraged to use this as an opportunity to get acquainted with their neighborhoods and explore and meet new people. Not to mention, a variety of specialty items are expected to be on sale for this annual event, including everything from auto parts to furniture and antiques.
Part of the reason the city chose this particular July weekend for the citywide garage sale is it is the only one in the year that does not require a permit, meaning anyone can host their own garage sale.
When signing up to host one’s own garage sale, which can be done online, participants must include their name, address, what day of the weekend they are hosting their sale, and what category of goods will be sold. Options include appliances, tools and equipment, sporting goods, clothing and other categories.
