Salute to rock pioneers comes to Middleburg Heights

Middleburg Heights is hosting multiple tribute bands of some of rock’s most influential groups this August at City Hall Park.

The events are part of a summer concert series hosted by the City of Middleburg Heights, known as Jammin’ in the Park.

On July 25, Uncaged, a tribute band of the chart-topping country act the Zac Brown Band, will perform. Hits like “Keep Me in Mind,” “Cold Weather,” “Chicken Fried,” “Toes,” and “Knee Deep” are all part of the regular lineup for Uncaged.

Another performance is also slated for July 25: One, a tribute band of U2, the Irish rock group known for their worldwide hits. One features Chris Stafford fulfilling the stand-in role of Bono on lead vocals, with Rick Friedline performing on guitar as Edge, as well as Dave Hutchmacher on bass and drummer Bob Devereaux providing support

Then on August 22, there will be a performance by Into the Blue, a cover band of Electric Light Orchestra. The concert is part of Into the Blue’s current tour, which touches upon cities all around Ohio and in West Virginia. The 11-piece ensemble stays true to the roots of its muse, incorporating symphonic strings with contemporary rock elements.

Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create stage decorations or venue marquees.

All of the performances are happening at City Hall Park at 15700 Bagley Rd in Middleburg Heights.
