The 49th Annual Ohio Scottish Games and Celtic Festival is returning to Middleburg Heights this June.
Taking place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and spanning two days, the event begins with a Calling of the Clans, followed by activities, food vendors, and live entertainment.
A jousting event, Grande Parade, border collie demonstrations, and Twilight Tattoo are all part of the festivities. In terms of live entertainment, there will be competitions for both solo and band pipes, as well as drumming, fiddle, harp, and Highland dancing.
Three main stages – the Clan, Rampant, and Tavern stages – will fill the days with entertainment. Vendors offering everything from hand-crafted goods to locally cooked meals will also be included.
A birds of prey demonstration, darts workshop, clan exhibits, and torch lighting event known as Calling of the Clans will round out the activities, with plenty of other games and culture-based entertainment, including genealogy workshops, haggis throw, and children’s activities.
Tickets at the door are $23 for adults or $17 for teens, with children 10 and under having free admission. Discounts are available if tickets are purchased in advance. Festivals like this may choose to use printing services to create marquees, vendor Signs, and program schedules.
