Middleburg Heights parents and caregivers of someone with special needs are invited to participate in a workshop that will help give peace of mind knowing their loved one will be financially secure in the future - even if they are no longer able to care for them.
The Special Needs Planning 101 Workshop will provide an introduction to different financial options available to those who care for someone with physical, mental or developmental challenges. Guardianships, special needs trusts and ABLE Accounts will all be discussed, and time will also be spent reviewing the responsibilities of a trustee and how someone can maximize the amount of public assistance their loved one will receive.
Along with all of this, participants will find out about the benefits of having a financial plan that is both solid and sound, and will provide stability for the future of the person for whom they care. The event is being facilitated by a representative of Butcher Elder Law, an area law firm that specializes in assisting with legal issues faced by older adults. Brochures and other materials for an event like this can be supplied by a local area printer.
